Foreclosure Sales In New Jersey Are Starting Again

Foreclosure Sales In New Jersey Are Starting Again. The Coronavirus has had a significant negative impact on the finances of many homeowners. In order to avoid the loss of the homes by a lot of NJ homeowners, a freeze was put on sheriff’s sales. However, New Jersey, on a county by county basis, is allowing foreclosure sales again. For example, Atlantic County is beginning sales on November 5, 2020 and Ocean County is having sales November 10, 2020. Some counties, like Gloucester County are allowing only certain types of sales to be scheduled. In Gloucester sales start on November 18, 2020 for commercial properties or properties certified as abandoned. And for now, Camden County, where we have offices in Sicklerville and Cherry Hill, and Burlington County, where we have offices in Maple Shade and Willingboro are not scheduling sales.   If you are behind on your mortgage, now is the time to meet with an experienced bankruptcy attorney to consider your options.
